This may include presentations, helmet fittings, advice on maintaining a proper fit and on occasion, giving away helmets to those in genuine need. School visits occur when MHC staff is available. Safety presentations and helmet checks and fittings may also take place at public events such as the City of Eureka\u2019s Annual Get Out and Play Day (GOPD). Making Headway Center recognizes that prevention is the most cost-effective, painless and, in fact, only sure way to reduce the number of brain injuries in our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To reduce brain injuries Making Headway Center provides and fits helmets to those in need.
